Malam Anugerah Kurshiah is a prominent event which has been an annual tradition for the residents of 3rd Residential College, University of Malaya. On the prestigious night, all students who had faithfully contributed their endless efforts to build up the good name and honor of 3rd Residential College throughout the semester would be honoured and awarded for their hard work.
The main purposes of Malam Anugerah Kurshiah being established is to acknowledge and appreciate the residents of the college who have been committed to the college. This is to instill the strength of mind for each student to be the best, in line with our Prime Minister's desire to produce excellent, brilliant, outstanding and first rate students. Malam Anugerah Kurshiah circuitously implants a healthy competitive spirit among the students to be unsurpassed. All those who are involved in organizing Malam Anugerah Kurshiah would experience an expanding of their self potential in various ways such as their leadership skills, self appearance, communication and soft skills.
In addition to that, Malam Anugerah Kurshiah is also the podium which unites and strengthens the bond of multiracial residents of 3rd Residential College. On that night, all the residents of the 3rd Residential College who come from various races, religions and social standings come together en route for the celebration of the achievements of their beloved college.
This year, we are also inviting children from Rumah Anak Kesayanganku to join the night to get some inspiration to succeed in life and the officiate of the night will be Y.B Dato' Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin. Consequently, Malam Anugerah Kurshiah is an event which enforce on the importance of national integration, unity and success not only in academic but also in other areas. Malam Anugerah Kurshiah is also a stepping ground for the students to enhance their skills and knowledge for they are the future leaders of this country.
